기아차에 따르면 EV3로 명명된 이 소형 전기 크로스오버는 큰형인 3열 거대 차량 EV9과 세련된 EV5를 연결하는 소형 SUV의 디자인 언어를 반영합니다. 그 결과는 눈을 즐겁게 하는 패키지에 포장된 EV9의 조화로운 소형화로 마치 베이비 EV9을 보는 듯합니다. Kia’s electrifying vision extends far beyond the horizon, with plans to electrify various market segments, particularly the realm of crossovers and SUVs. This Korean automaker has set an ambitious target to introduce a whopping 15 electric models into its global lineup by the close of 2027. Among these electric marvels, you’ll find nine distinct models bearing the EV1 to EV9 badges, as per recent trademark applications that have made waves across the globe.

 

As of now, Kia has lifted the veil on three of these electrifying stars – the EV6, EV9, and most recently, the EV5. But don’t let that fool you; there’s more in the pipeline, and if clandestine snapshots from late August are any indication, a subcompact crossover SUV, smaller than the sprightly EV5, is the next on Kia’s electric journey.

 

The whispers in the automotive world suggest that this compact electric crossover, tentatively named the EV3, will echo the design language of its larger siblings, the EV9, a three-row behemoth, and the stylish EV5 compact SUV. The result is nothing short of spectacular, a harmonious downsizing of the EV9, wrapped in an eye-pleasing package.

 

The EV3 boasts a boxy physique adorned with muscular and angular body contours, displaying brief overhangs and an upright glasshouse. The eM architecture promises a groundbreaking 50-percent boost in driving range compared to today’s electric vehicles. It doesn’t stop there; it’s designed to accommodate Level 3 or higher autonomous technology and over-the-air software updates, ushering in a new era of connectivity.
